Atelier Vierkant

Atelier Vierkant is a family-run art manufactory based in Belgium. The Janssen family has been producing art pots for over 25 years. Their works are an important part of many architectural projects around the world and can be described as transgenerational. The difference between commercially available pots and those from Atelier Vierkant is enormous.
A handmade fired clay planter will serve its owner for his lifetime without colour or quality changes, it can be passed on to the next generation. It is not a mass production or a mass product. They are actually sculptural pieces for the home and garden. The clay Atelier uses is also unique, it comes exclusively from specific areas in Germany and is carefully selected for its quality and properties. The production of Vierkant pots and garden solitaires is very demanding and each piece goes through a long production process, from clay dyeing, hand shaping, sculpting to drying, which can take weeks, when it is checked at regular intervals and possibly touched up, to the final firing in unique kilns. No piece is like another. Each has its own story.

Colours: according to the swatches:
- Swatch No.1: basic colours (coloured flesh/clay - 9 colours)
- swatch no.2: additional colour paints (mostly projects/special models, available to see here)
Texture/surface: standard best-selling smoothed coarse texture base (prices listed on the website) + special finishes (to be seen in the catalogue) - always on request and at an additional cost to the price of the planter (contact us for a quote)
For use outdoors it is necessary to have a hole in the pot, our stock pieces have a hole from the factory, when ordering it is necessary to indicate this requirement when ordering
Production times for custom planters currently range from 4-6 months depending on the type of planter.
In some cases the manufacturer reserves the right to a minimum order quantity (200,000 CZK excluding VAT).
Stock pots: we keep selected models of pots in various sizes and colours permanently in stock (see online offer) - the minimum order value does not apply and you can have them immediately. They are available in our showroom.
